Club Dinner report

A superb night's entertainment at the Club Dinner on Saturday night.

Excellent food, excellent company and superb organisation from Rich Mann and his gang of helpers. The highlight of the evening was Mr Finlay Calder OBE presenting his Lion's Tale which - it has to be said - was taken largely in good spirit by professional antipodean, Mr Duncan Fell.

As part of the evening's fun, there were a few awards handed out. Coaches' Young Player of the Year went to Ross Mitchell, whilst Coaches' (slightly older) Player of the Year was Aidan Dean. The prestigious Players' Player of the Year was hotly contested, with Tom Winnington coming out on top this time around just ahead of an equally worthy Sean Kitching.

Next up in the list of club-run events is the Fun Awards Day which will be on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd June. Please pencil that into your diaries and we'll see you all there.
