Games and Training this weekend

Already in August and the first pre-season game is just a week away. However, there's still lots of action this weekend too.

On Saturday (all day), it's the annual Royal Bank Rugby Force Day. Show your club some love by coming down in your painting gear to help clean, tidy, repair and paint various bits of the clubhouse in readiness for the new season. It's a real team effort we need so lets see plenty of bodies available through the day to make the task easier for everyone. We start at 9:30 am, but if you can spare an hour or maybe two at any point throughout the day then please do come down and join in.

Then, on Sunday, we're scheduled to take on our friends at the Cricket Club in a 15-a-side, 25-overs game of cricket followed by some drinking, darts, pool, golf (chipping) and assorted other games and fun challenges. The action starts at 1:00 pm. This is a family-friendly event so - again - please turn up in your numbers to show our respective clubs some support. This event will go ahead regardless of the weather, although the cricket may obviously be curtailed if it rains too hard. We hope to follow this up later in the year with a touch rugby challenge back at our place.

So, lots to be taking part in. We hope to see a really good turnout for these first two events of the new season.
