Congratulations to Niamh

Huge congratulations to one of our former mini section players now making her mark in the representative pathways. Niamh Waters played at Penicuik from before she was in P1 right through to P7, and only left to play at Currie because we didn’t have a midi girls’ team for her to join. She’s now been selected in the Women’s U18 squad who are currently on their way to Cardiff to take part in a week long training camp and festival. Players will train with squads and coaches from Scotland, USA, Wales and the Netherlands, playing a series of 30 minute games on Tuesday and a final full game at the end of the week.

Niamh – How it all began

Niamh is enormously proud of her connections to Penicuik, and turned out in Hunters kit at the squad’s initial “Club of Origin” themed training sessions. That pride works in both directions and we hope that this is just the beginning of a successful Scotland career. Train and play hard, Niamh, and we’re sure that good things will come.
