2xv v Ross High

Rich Mann 2xv Coach

This weekend sees the super 2nds play their final game of the season. The opposition is Ross High and a warm welcome awaits us at Blawearie Park. Ross High and ourselves have a good relationship and this game is always a hard but fair match.
Our first match of the season saw us run out winner 26 points to 7 on a chilly December afternoon. This weekend will not be too different in terms of playing conditions. However the style of play the 2nds adopt should be enough to get us a nice tidy away win to end the season with.
The highlight of this match however will be Butch, Andrew and Paddy giving us a rendition of their favourite singing song during post match beers. Good luck to them. Its been a most excellent season for the 2nds.
The team has gelled really well and under the leadership of Paul Hope all targets have been surpassed.

Archive Photo

Todays featured photo is the Penicuik 1xv/2xv squads from the 84/85 season?

Jug of beer to the first person to name the whole squad and assistants, send to info@penicuikrugby.org, or drop a list in behind the bar this weekend (be warned, Tom Tait who is in the photo is usually at the bar 8pm on the dot on Fridays)

Help Us!

As part of the ongoing upgrading of the clubhouse we are about to rehouse all our Penicuik 7’s Home Winning teams.  We are missing a good quality photo of the 1990 winning team.  We have a copy of a newspaper cutting (Lothian Times) and also a black and white copy of another photo.  We are asking our members, and players at that time to have a look to see if they have a copy we could borrow and scan.

Given the side wore the “Candy” change strips it would be great to locate a color photo.  (PS… how good a side was that!!!)
