The clubhouse will be open as usual on Friday evening and we hope to have the Munster vs Edinburgh game on Premier Sports on the Big Screen for your enjoyment.
On Saturday morning, the U14s, U16s and U18s all take on Trinity Academy at Penicuik. Kick off in all of those games will be 10:00 am. Players should be at the club for 9:00 am please. Unfortunately, the U14, U16 and U18 games have all been CANCELLED/POSTPONED due to a combination of the state of the pitches and the sub-zero temperatures forecast for Friday night and Saturday morning
On Saturday afternoon, both the First XV (sponsored by McKenzie Skip Hire and Uniq Marketing) and Second XV face off against Inverleith in League fixtures. The First XV head into town to play at Arboretum Road while the Second XV are at home. Both games kick off at 2:00 pm. There will be a pitch inspection at Penicuik on Saturday lunchtime to determine if the pitches will allow the Second XV game to proceed. (Inverleith contacted us at 8:00 pm on Friday to say they couldn’t raise a Second XV so that game is CANCELLED.)
On Sunday, the Hunters are off to Leith (20 Academy Park, Edinburgh EH6 8JQ) for some games. It’s a slightly earlier than usual start at 10:30 am, so all players need to be at Leith for 10:00 am at the latest. Again, there will be a pitch inspection early on Sunday morning so please look out for updates.
