It is with deep sadness that we report the passing – on Friday 8th November – of Jimmy Semple.
Jimmy was a key figure in the early days of Midis and Minis rugby at Penicuik, coaching a number of players who went on to distinguish themselves with the club’s senior sides. Ever-resplendent in his three-stripe Adidas tracksuit, he was memorably a firm believer in “no droppin’ the ball” – the kind of heartfelt coaching that stays with a player for a lifetime.
Our thoughts are with Alun, with Iain, Liz and the boys (who carry on the family tradition of playing at the club), and with Evelene at this sad time. We will post funeral details when we have them.
