Yesterday we held our 57th annual seven a side tournament with Murrayfield Wanderers, coached by 5 times PRFC 7’s winner Barry Turnbull, securing their 2nd PRFC 7’s title with a 21-14 win over our own 7xv side.
In a game of 2 halves, Penicuik went into the 2nd half 14-0 up, only to concede the dying minutes to lose 21-14.
Congratulations to Murrayfield Wanderers on a great tournament, deserving of the win.
Highlights of the Penicuik tries, and all the tries from the final can be found here –
Big thanks to all our members, players and supporters for coming down and helping to create a fabulous atmosphere.
Seven’s is only a game or rugby, its the supporters that make it a special day out in the PRFC calendar.

For those who enjoy some details, we went through 400 burgers, over 1000 pints, a shed load of shots and all the free drink our sponsors and guests could consume.
Next up for your diaries is Gala day on the 25th May and the Club dinner 8th June.
