This weekend @ Penicuik Rugby
We bring back our “Where’s Aidan”, details of Autumn series tickets and some great news ahead of our own 7’s.
Presidents Welcome
This week the committee sat down with Dave Drummond, who is the regional director at the SRU, to have an open conversation about how to take the club forward into its next 100 years.
Some great idea’s were shared and there should be some exciting news coming out in the next few months.
It was sad to read the news this week regarding the demise of Walkerburn rugby club, following a reduction in player and volunteer numbers. We always enjoyed the trip to Caberston haugh, especially for the wam hospitality from their committees and their annual 7’s. Our thoughts go to James and the rest of the Walkerburn committee, but hopefully we will see them running out at next weeks 7’s
Finally a couple of requests for help please. Next weeks is our own sevens and we importantly need everyone’s help please. As ever we run a Tombola which supports the funding the tournament- please if you can spare one prize please drop it into the box which will be located in the club entrance.
Secondly we are looking for volunteers to run the bar. Only looking for an hour shift please and if you can help please get in touch with myself or Robbie Mactaggart.
Cheers
Gav
President Penicuik RFC
