Six Nations Fantasy Rugby League
We go into week 2 with Adrian Donoghue top of 38 members with 572 pts. Still early doors with massive decisions to make this weekend, although Scott Hall’s decision in week 1 to select and make captain to Penaud puzzling given as he wasn’t playing!
Doddie Aid
Well done PRFC… we’ve completed Doddie Aid 2025
We covered a massive 5600 miles!
Not only did we kickstart our 2025 fitness journey, but we also raised vital funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, supporting MND research and care.
Congratulations to everyone who took themself outside their comfort zone to do something extra, wether it was walking the dog in the rain an extra few meters, walking to the rugby club rather than driving or spending hours on the bike… you’ve all done yourself proud.
Last year Richard ‘Fred’ Morrison romped the Penicuik league with 838 miles, this year former 1xv captain Gavin Stephen recorded a massive 1052 miles with current club captain, Paul Hope, topping 2nd place with an incredible 867 miles. At the time of writing we are waiting to hear from Nikki & Correen if they are looking forward to having their husbands back… or not……..
Final results below (all distances in miles)

Senior Rugby
Penicuik 1xv v Livingston
2pm ko
Penicuik welcome Livingston back to Montgomery Park, with this rescheduled game from the 23rd November.
Livingston narrowly won last time out in September 16-13 in a tight fought game. Last outing for the West Lothian men seen them narrowly lose out at home to league leaders Dunbar 16-17, having previously romped home to Trinity 36-22.
Sitting 3rd with 2 games in hand on Corstorphine and only 2pts behind, we know Livingston will come out all guns blazing. Their strong pack will look to dominate the game up front and put pressure on the Penicuik rucks and set pieces.
Our 1xv won a tight game at home to Trinity 19-8 last time the team got a run out. The game went ahead despite the Friday red weather warning and several tree’s de-rooted on the pitch.
