200 Club winners – January 2025
The winners of the 200 Club Draw for January are:

Six Nations Fantasy Rugby League
Week 2 seen no change to the top 5, however a 22 place jump for RoDog who scored a massive 420pts. Some big calls this weekend. Can Wales bounce back to score points at home to Ireland, surely England will be too strong for Scotland and can Italy repeat last seasons draw to France??
Midi Rugby
Come down to Montgomery Park this Saturday morning to cheer on our U13 side who host Dunbar for a 10:30 ko!
Mini Rugby
This Sunday its a 10:20 meet and 10:45 kick off down at Biggar.
Our Hunters will be playing in a round robin event against Biggar, Dalziel & Lasswade
Its always a great morning of rugby down at Hartree Mill.

The Sunday after (2nd March) we are now hosting Preston Lodge at home.
Senior Rugby
1xv
On Saturday 8th February, the 1xv extended their points over bottom placed Trinity with a well deserved 30-17 win over a strong Livingston team at Montgomery Park.
Penicuik opened the scoring in the opening minutes from a great team score finished off by Connor Mitchell (click link below for try)
Further tries from Haynes and an interception breakaway from Randall seen the score extended before Livingston scored in the final minute to reduce the gap.
This was a great performance on a very heavy pitch which suited a heavier team and not the light Penicuik backs.
With 3 games left to play surely the 1xv have done enough to keep their place in East 2, however with nothing certain with what the leagues look like next season at least another 8pts would be very well received.

2xv
Last Saturday the 2xv recorded a convincing 40-0 victory of local neighbours Dalkeith. This 2xv side has settled down very well together with combinations now playing regularly with each other.
The league looks like going down to the wire with Caledonian Thebans, Penicuik and Edinburgh Northern all in contention, however the games in for Northern will be crucial with Thebans due to face Northern on the last day of the season.
