Assuming that there are no last-minute Covid-related or other hitches in the next few hours, the 2021 Women’s Six Nations tournament will start on Saturday 3rd April. This will be the ninth consecutive Six Nations in which a Penicuik player has been involved. We wish Sarah and her team-mates the very best of luck in this delayed and foreshortened competition.

Sarah started her rugby journey in our Mini section, so all mini players take note – that could be you playing for your country in a few years time. It takes time, a huge amount of effort, commitment and persistence, but if you are good enough and determined enough, you can make it to the top.

The matches this year can be viewed live on the BBC iPlayer or on the Red Button. Kick off against England is at 3:00 pm (Saturday 3rd April). The second game for Scotland is against Italy at 5:00 pm on 17th April. For full fixture dates and times, see https://www.sixnationsrugby.com/women/womens-fixtures-results/
