July is traditionally the club’s quietest month with all rugby grinding to a halt at the end of June.
We like to remind all members the club is available for many uses, thanks to the investment in 2021 of new modular seating we are able to create an open lounge, individual booths, or create a usable space for any occasion.
Last weekend we were fortunate to host 3 separate social functions for the local community.
On Thursday the Penicuik Dickson Guide Leaders held their end of term social in the clubhouse
Friday night we hosted the end of term party for the staff of Cuiken Primary School. Thanks to the staff for the following feedback
“We had an awesome time! The club was a perfect venue. Easy to play our own music, the kitchen for food, the dance floor, lights etc were all brilliant. In particular can you thank Gav and Andrew for looking after us so well. I don’t think Gav expected us to be so ‘lively’ but he was so good and looked after us brilliantly! Thanks again for having us!”
Saturday we hosted our inaugural members poker night which we are looking to repeat in a couple months time.
If you’d like a venue to host a private party, family gathering or just a get together please either drop us a DM or speak to any committee member. The club is available to book for players, full members, social patrons and parents of our mini/midi players.
All income generated over the bar is reinvested back into the rugby playing side to keep us going towards and beyond our centenary in 2024.
