This weekend @ Penicuik Rugby
We are gearing up for our 7’s event on 27th of April and calling on all volunteers to step forward.
Clubhouse is open this weekend
Friday 8pm
Saturday 4pm

Presidents Welcome
What a positive week it’s been – firstly thanks to all the many people who made last Saturday’s centenary game such as huge success. It was great to see the club so busy with lots of old and new faces coming together to celebrate a 100 years of rugby in Penicuik. Particular thanks to our sponsors for their continued support and to Lismore for being such who were superb guests both on and off the pitch.

It was also our Easter camp this week and huge thanks to Sonia, Josh and their band of helpers who braved the weather to entertain and encourage over 60 kids. Sounds like everyone had a great time and hopefully a few more new recruits for the mini section.
There is still rugby to enjoy this weekend and while our invitation to Melrose 7s must have got lost in the post we do head down to play at the Portobello tournament. Also well organised and a good standard it will be interesting to see how we go in our first outing of the year.
Finally a couple of requests for help please. It’s only 2 weeks to our own sevens and we importantly need everyone’s help please. As ever we run a Tombola which supports the funding the tournament- please if you can spare one prize please drop it into the box which will be located in the club entrance.
Secondly we are looking for volunteers to run the bar. Only looking for an hour shift please and if you can help please get in touch with myself or Robbie Mactaggart.
Cheers
Gav
